Lingering….

Lingering….

Photo: Google Images

A velvet sky…
Star studded, twinkling
I sit under this seductive canopy
As a gentle breeze caresses
My burning senses
Memories like lingering fragrance
Storm my quiet solitude
I long for those fleeting moments…
Intertwined as one
Our lips exploring in passion
Our touch imprinting
Our very core
Hearts throbbing in unison
Our cries of ecstasy,
A chorus celebrating us
Ageless and timeless…
Hungry
Insatiated…
Our destinies chose their paths,
You are now a distant beat
A persistent echo…
Yet my soul searches
For its mate
In realms beyond
Another lifetime…
For you are
My destiny,
My love,
My other half…

  22. I have missed out on so much over these days..this one is wonderful Rimly.“Why is love intensified by absence?”
“I want morning and noon and nightfall with you. I want your tears, your smiles, your kisses...the smell of your hair, the taste of your skin, the touch of your breath on my face. I want to see you in the final hour of my life...to lie in your arms as I take my last breath.”

  24. A very sentimental piece of poetry this is. Very well expressed with intensity. The inner most desires never fade away no matter how much we want to forget. Belief that there is someone special down the road makes our heart excited as well as throbbing.

    Have a nice day! :)
